Each year the Especially For Youth™ program promises LDS youth five days full of workshops, activities, and memories with spiritual messages and an annual theme. And, each year, two musicians spend endless hours in studio with singers and songwriters to produce the Especially For Youth™ CD, a soundtrack of inspiring music that supports the focus of that summer’s conference. This year the Pearl Award-winning producing team of Songwriter/Musician Jim Funk and Musician/Engineer Barry Gibbons immersed themselves in the sounds of Jessie Clark Funk, Daniel Beck, Hillary Weeks, Greg Simpson, and more for this weekend’s release of the Especially For Youth 2008 Steady and Sure CD by YourLDSNeighborhood.com. Jim and Barry are also celebrating the 2008 CD’s release with two back-to-back concerts, open to the public, at Utah Valley University on August 22nd and 23rd. Read more
