We are seeking singers, songwriters, arrangers, studio musicians, studio engineers, studio owners, and graphic designers to donate their time, talents and resources to help bring this project to life. We welcome songs that celebrate the many sermons and stories that President Hinckley lovinglybrought to our lives, as well as songs that celebrate is amazing life.

We realize that many of the songs that will appear on the album have not yet been written. Some song ideas include:

Love Story – Gordon & Marjorie (He’s talked about the first time he saw her at church…)
Walnut tree / pulpit
Temples (the prophet builder)
His cane (used as a tool - not a crutch)
“Stand a little taller”
Loved the Saints around the World
“Forget yourself and go to work”
Working with Media / Bringing Church Out of Obscurity (examples: 60 minutes, Larry King)
Bring all the good you have and let us add to it
Slow to anger
“Don’t Drop the Ball”
In the middle of 7 generations (from his daughter’s talk at his funeral)

We suggest reading conference talks, The Proclamation on the Family, The Living Christ, the President Hinckley biography, and any other publication with respect to President Hinckley to help inspire creativity.

Due to the fact that this is a non-profit tribute album, there will be no monitory gain for musicians who participate. Artists will be responsible to pay for all costs associated with the recording of their song. In addition, the producers (Clifford & Goldman), are donating 100% of their time required to produce this album. The producers will arrange donations to cover album art, mastering, duplication and distribution to provide a finished product that meets professional LDS music production standards.

Each musician will receive 50 free copies of the completed CD and be noted as a contributor each time a donation check is sent to the Perpetual Education Fund.

If you have already released a song that you feel would be appropriate for this album, we invite you to consider submitting it for this project. If you are a musician that is currently signed with a record label and are interested in participating on this album, we encourage you to either contact your record label directly or let us know of your interest and we will contact them on your behalf. This includes both released and unreleased/unwritten material.
